Overview
Located at 17599 E Peak Ln, in Picacho, AZ 85141, Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch is a great place to feed animals. Because of its uniqueness, it became one of the team's favorite stops. Mainly, it is a place to feed and see animals. There are many great photo opportunities with the animals as well.
The Animals
Birds
The birds here can be fed with nectar. The birds will land on your arm and do tend to poop, so make sure to bring wipes just in case. There are also birds that are fed with nut sticks, these sticks can be bought at the main entrance.
Donkeys
There is a variety of donkeys that can be petted and fed. They will take normal feed, which can be bought at the main entrance.
Ostriches
The Ostriches are the main point of interest here. They take normal feed. They can be a bit aggressive, so be vigilante while feeding them.
Goats - Goats take normal feed. They are very gentle and good for younger kids.
Deer
Deer take normal feed. They can be a bit shy, so don't make any big movements when trying to feed them or get their attention.
Sheep
Sheep take normal feed. These animals are also very gentle.
Ducks
Ducks can be fed with token food. You can buy tokens at the main entrance. You put these tokens into what looks like gumball machines to get their feed.
Rabbits
Rabbits can be fed with token food. They tend to fill up fast, so it is suggested you hit the rabbits up first.
Chickens
Chickens can be fed with token food. Chickens can also fill up a bit fast, so you should hit them up near the beginning of your visit.
Stingrays
There is also a place to feed and pet stingrays. Their food can either be bought at their area or at the main entrance.
Extras
Gift Shop - It includes things like ostrich feathers, ostrich eggs, unique plushies, and other interesting assortments.

Dairy Queen
As of writing this, there is a Dairy Queen right by the farm. It is a great spot for an afterwards treat.
Visiting the nearby state park
The backdrop of this farm is nearby Picacho Peak State Park. At this park, there are varying trail difficulties ranging from easy to difficult. For the most challenging trail, there are cables to help you climb up the mountain. It's recommended you bring gloves if you would like to try this experience.
